Located 120 kilometers from the Ecuadorian border in the Peruvian desert, Máncora is a coastal oasis amidst the endless sand. It is a welcoming little town positioned around the beach, with the kind of laid-back beach vibe which is difficult to resist.
Popular amongst local surfers, there is always some kind of action happening along the beach, whether it be an intense round of bat & ball or trail of horse-riders making their way across the sands. Even the least active of travelers will be content here, thanks to the warm ocean temperatures and the informal seaside restaurants which serve up affordable local seafood dishes with great views and ambience. There are a number of decent restaurants along the main road too, so you won’t be left wanting in the food and drinks department.
In short, Máncora is a relaxing little town offering the perfect conditions for a relaxing beach break at the end of an action-packed trip around Peru.
