Rohet

Just over 30 kilometres south of Jodhpur is the small village of Rohet, a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of India’s metropolitan hubs. It is a good place to stop off on your way to the blue city. The countryside around Rohet is largely agricultural, and the locals still practice traditional crafts, in particular, weaving. Rohet provides a picture of rural Rajasthan, whose slower pace of life stands in stark contrast to the region’s major cities.
